Schiff’s Congressional Office Helps Six Constituents & Their Families Evacuate Israel During Ongoing Crisis
Washington, D.C. — Today, Representative Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) announced that his constituent services team, in coordination with the State Department, helped facilitate the safe evacuation of six constituents and their families out of Israel via charter flights and commercial air.
“Last week, when my office received calls, texts, and emails from those with loved ones in Israel, we worked quickly with the State Department to assist with the safe evacuation of six constituents and their families. I am grateful for the Biden Administration’s 24/7 collaboration. My office will continue to partner with the Administration to assist more constituents in need wherever they may be,” said Representative Schiff.
Since Hamas launched its terrorist attacks on Israel on October 7, Schiff’s office has been in constant communication with the State Department and affected individuals and their families to assist with the safe evacuations of Americans out of Israel.
As the situation evolves, Schiff and his team will continue to monitor and provide assistance to Californians affected by the ongoing crisis in Israel. Any American citizen in Israel or Gaza in need of assistance should complete the U.S State Department Crisis Intake form to receive key updates about the U.S. government’s efforts to get Americans home safely.
American citizens elsewhere in the region, including in Lebanon, should review information on travel.state.gov and ensure they are registered with the State Department’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program to receive the latest security updates and guidance.
