Rep. Schiff Releases Statement On Passage Of Continuing Resolution
Washington, D.C.— Today, Representative Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) released the following statement on the passage of a Continuing Resolution (CR) to fund the federal government.
“I just voted to support the continuing resolution and keep our government open. While its structure is unnecessarily complicated, it continues funding at existing levels and is far better than a shutdown, which would have been devastating for our economy, working families, our military, and our seniors. Any future CRs must similarly have no extreme policy riders to get strong bipartisan support.
“I hope that in the future, this House Majority and new Speaker will stop relying on gimmicks and tactics that simply don’t make sense, and come to a bipartisan consensus with the White House and Senate. We owe the American people a better process than careening from one possible shutdown to another.”
