Rep. Schiff Applauds SAG-AFTRA Committee Deal with Studios
Washington, D.C.— Today, Representative Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) released the following statement on the announced tentative deal reached by Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) and major studios:
“For the past 118 days, SAG-AFTRA members have worked tirelessly and stood together on the picket line to ensure that every single worker got the fair deal they deserve. This tentative agreement is an incredibly important step forward, and it is now up to the membership whether to ratify it. With all of the issues confronting the entertainment industry, from streaming to AI, this deal will no doubt provide a blueprint for workers in other sectors looking to reach a better contract and better working conditions. I am thrilled that the workers and creative talent who make the magic happen on the screen will soon be back at work doing what they do best with a contract that values their contributions to the industry,” said Representative Adam Schiff.
