PHOTOS: Rep. Schiff Speaks to Communications Workers of America National Conference
Washington, D.C.— Today, Representative Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) spoke at the Communications Workers of America’s National Legislative and Political Conference.
Schiff stressed the importance of strengthening labor laws and passing the PRO Act, addressing the digital divide through expanded broadband access and the intertwined challenges of the economy and democracy. Schiff also highlighted the need to protect democracy by voting in record numbers.
In the House, Schiff has led on issues related to connectivity, including introducing a bill to expand wifi access on school buses. Schiff has been outspoken on the need to reinstate funding for the Affordable Connectivity Program, which has helped over 23 million households sign up for discounted broadband internet service. Schiff has also led efforts to protect and defend our democracy, including introducing the Protect Our Democracy Act.
