NEWS: Rep. Schiff Brings in Over $12 Million For Local Projects in Government Funding Package

Washington, D.C.—Today, Representative Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) announced that he expects to bring $12,859,626 in Community Project Funding for California’s 30th District in the 2024 spending bills. This funding, included in the omnibus funding package on the floor this week, responds directly to some of the most pressing needs in Southern California, including housing availability, health services, and workforce development.

“From working to tackle the housing crisis to boosting workforce development opportunities, I have always been committed to delivering results for my constituents. It’s why I am glad to announce I have secured over $12 million in critical funds that will benefit California families and communities for years to come.”

Schiff championed funding for 15 projects that will directly benefit Californians. These include:

  • $3,000,000 for Gower Street Apartments Improvements
  • $500,000 for Access Center and Tiny Home Village for Unsheltered Families
  • $500,000 for Architectural Improvement for Accessibility of Elderly
  • $200,000 for City of Burbank Expansion of Mental Health Services
  • $850,000 for Council District 4 - Renewing Griffith Park
  • $1,000,000 for Glendale Community College Student Center
  • $850,000 for Interim Housing for Unhoused Domestic Violence Survivor Mothers and Children
  • $850,000 for Log Cabin Facility Renovation
  • $654,480 for Los Angeles City College Health Sciences Apprenticeship Program
  • $285,867 for Making it Happen Modular Building for Community Food Pantry
  • $1,102,552 for Mountain Oaks Verdugo Wash Rim of the Valley Acquisition
  • $850,000 for Permanent Supportive Housing Outdoor Recreation and Accessibility Improvements
  • $1,563,727 for Shelter Expansion and Improvement
  • $653,000 for Street Outreach to Youth Victims of Crime
  • $75,000 for the Wildfire Fuel Reduction and Hazardous Brush Abatement
