2016 Congressional Art Competition
This year's annual Congressional Art Competition Forum & Exhibit for the 28th District, features the art of 53 students from 22 schools located in the 28th District participated in the competition.
The first place winner’s artwork, Austin White’s piece “Ayden” (#56), will hang in the U.S. Capitol for one year, the piece awarded second place was awarded to Shakeh Aslanyan for her oil painting titled “As I Am” (#6). This will hang in the Congressman’s Washington, D.C. Office for one year. Third place was awarded to Annabel Lawton Boardman for her linocut print titled “Good Kid Moon Man” (#10). Her artwork will hang in Schiff’s Burbank District Office for one year.
The “People’s Choice” winner is Michael Tufenkian for his photograph titled “6th Street Bridge Los Angeles” (#52), which will be displayed in Rep. Schiff’s Hollywood District Office. View this year's submissions below!
