Schiff Statement on Terrorist Attacks in London
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA) made the following statement on the terrorist attacks in London:
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Britain as they recover from this morning's cowardly attacks. America has no greater friend or ally and we stand shoulder to shoulder with the British people today, and every day.
"It is plain that the scourge of terrorism will be with us for a long time. There is no reasoning with those who would deliberately kill innocent men, women and children. There can be no capitulation. We will work together with our British friends, and freedom loving peoples all over the globe to defeat these murderous purveyors of hate and death.”
Congressman Schiff is the co-founder of the Democratic Study Group on National Security and a member of both the House Judiciary and International Relations committees. He represents California’s 29th Congressional District, which includes the communities of Alhambra, Altadena, Burbank, East Pasadena, East San Gabriel, Glendale, Monterey Park, Pasadena, San Gabriel, South Pasadena and Temple City. -30-
