WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Adam Schiff (CA-29) congratulated Clark Magnet High School art teacher Judith Craemer who is this year’s recipient of the 29th Congressional District “Angles in Adoption” Award. This is an annual award sponsored by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI).
“Judith has a remarkable and tireless dedication to children,” Congressman Schiff said. “Her devotion to her daughter Mila and her students at Clark Magnet is commendable, and it sets a strong example for everyone in the community.”
Ms. Craemer adopted Mila in her infancy; a child of Guatemalan heritage born in 1992 in Laguna Beach, Mila is now a student at Wilson Middle School in Glendale.
CCAI was founded in 1999 to promote awareness of the significant need of loving and stable homes for foster and foreign children. Each year, CCAI encourages Members of Congress to nominate a constituent who has “enriched the lives of children through adoption” for an Angels in Adoption award. All nominees are subsequently honored at a banquet in Washington, DC.
Congressman Schiff is a Member of the Congressional Adoption Caucus and represents California’s 29th Congressional District, which includes the communities of Alhambra, Altadena, Burbank, East Pasadena, East San Gabriel, Glendale, Monterey Park, Pasadena, San Gabriel, South Pasadena and Temple City.
